Bricks Delivered 28/4/2023

Image
The first lot of bricks have been delivered. The wire finish red brick is for the front façade which will be rendered. The Whitsunday Brampton is the face brick we selected. The plan is to finish off the lower level frame and then pivot to laying the bricks up to the top plate of the frame. Then pivot back to the upper level frame and then finish off the bricks and weatherboard paneling to produce that Hamptons look façade.

New Date for Frames onsite

Image
After yet another round of escalation calls to the builder, they have provided a new date for Frames onsite. 19/4/2023 is now the new date. I'm not holding my breath. This is just another promise that I suspect will be broken. I don't think its unreasonable to expect a bit of progress to be made g iven the fact the first date provided for frames to be onsite was advised as 23/1/2023.  The continual broken promises has really left us concerned regarding the timelines detailed in the contract.

We are getting a pool!

After engaging with a number of pool builders, we have settled on and signed a contract to have a pool built post house handover. Concept Pools Australia will be building our pool 6m x 3.36m with a 900mm wide tanning ledge We decided on the pool tile - Ezarri Niebla 2560-a.

Frames! Frames! where are our Frames!

Another call from the site supervisor today advising the new Site access has been installed.  There's 2 more loads of soil left to be removed from the site.  After taking me through the detailed approach for the frames, brick laying, scaffolding etc. I enquired as to a date when the frames would be delivered and stood up on site? Answer - "I'm waiting on an email" At least our builder is still calling us and they haven't folded up their tents.  Our patients are certainly being tested though.
