Big push yesterday in prep for the moving truck to move all the big pieces of furniture. They did a great job and didnt damage any of our stuff or any walls in the new house.  The pool excavation was going great until we hit an old septic tank. Had to arrange for a separate skip to dispose of it. After that is was smooth sailing and the dig is now complete.   

Big Day today. I'll post some pics of the completed house shortly.  

Big job ticked off the list. The backyard is now ready for the pool contractor. 

With the services pipe issue solved early this morning, the guys smashed it out in the heat today. Starter bars, trench mesh, and the pour of the footings. The placement of the wall will net us around another 27sqm of land. Worth the effort and the expense.

Onto the next part - Phase 2 of the Retaining Wall. This will create the platform and support the digging of the pool. Got a few servcies (storm water and sewer) to take care of which wont be too hard. Footings down by Tuesday, blocks in by Thursday, and core filled by Friday.

Hot off the press this morning we recevied the Occupancy Certificate. The Practical Completion Walkthru was also condcuted today where we identified all the defects and imperfections. The Builder has floated a handover date of 13-14 Feb.
