Getting the frame to the slab is proving a challenge 31/1/2023

The frame is ready for delivery, but the builder has struck a few issues getting the frame from the truck to the slab. The installation of the underground water tank has resulted in the existing site access point being no longer usable. There is also power lines across the street frontage which will prevent using a traditional crane to lift.  Solution Part 1 - The plan is to create a new site access point where the driveway will be and use a Telehandler to lift the frames off the truck and transport them under the power lines to the slab. However, this presents another issue as the  slope of the block means that normal blue metal or crushed concrete will not be  suitable for the machine to drive on. Solution Part 2 - Excavate the driveway to a suitable depth and lay in some "rough concrete" which will provide the telehandler with a safe path from the street to the slab. This concrete will then be covered by the steel reinforced concrete driveway later in the build.  The Drive

The underground water tank was installed today, along with the power conduit to run the pump. Luckily they didn't hit too much rock.  The error with the trench dug across the Pool area has been rectified, and the last bit of the drainage was completed today. Back filling tomorrow and then its onto the Frame next week.

Tank delivered 18/1/2023, and drainage issue identified

The 3,000L underground water tank has been delivered. I also picked up an issue with the proposed route of the storm water pipes in the back corner of the house. The route has been dug diagonally across the Services Exclusion Zone as this is where the Pool is going. Meeting the builder onsite tomorrow  to sort it.

Tree removal at the front of the block

Sadly I need to clear the 2 trees at the front of the block. The Magnolia (tree on the right) is right in the middle of our future driveway. The tree to the left is actually classed as a noxious weed (Umbrella Tree) so its no great loss.  I have 2 Magnolia trees in pots that I'm going to plant after the build.  The site is starting up next week after the Christmas break with Drainage and Frame.
