Another step closer. Our plans have been formally lodged with the Certifier. Now we wait for the outcome. 

Deep breath time. We signed the Building Contract this morning and paid the Deposit. The plans are still being reviewed by the Private Certifier and as soon as we gen the green light we will be into Council for their approval. Once all approvals are received, site works are to commence within 20 Working Days.

We received the finalised construction drawings, the variation that went with it, and the Building Contract. Sadly there is a 5% price increase to go with it. The cost of materials is really out of hand.  Our plans have been lodged with the Private Certifier. I anticipate we will need to move the house back and across a little to accommodate a larger setbacks for a neighboring house.  The Retaining Wall spec's are still MIA from the landscaper. This is being provided outside of the build contract, but needs to be finalised as it needs to be included in the House CDC application. Its going to be a 48 Week Build once they start site works. Works will start within 20 working days from the date approval is received.    Apart from that we are very close to getting the approval to proceed.
